Do I need experience?
Not necessarily. If you are enthusiastic, reliable, have a good knowledge of your City of choice* and speak good English, you are welcome to apply to become an Skycabs Direct driver. You will need a Taxi drivers license/badge.
How much will I earn?
The answer to this question is completely in your own hands. Naturally, the more journeys you complete, the more money you will receive.
Will I be paid cash for every journey?
There are two types of booking at Skycabs Direct. Our priority service is account based bookings. For these journeys, you will not receive cash from the client, but will pay you weekly, directly into your bank account.
Secondly, there are cash bookings. For these journeys, the passenger will pay you directly, in cash, when you have completed the journey. These jobs are useful to top up your cash flow.
Will I be self-employed?
Yes. All Skycabs Direct drivers are self-employed.
Do I pay for my own fuel?
Yes, if it is for a minicab/taxi then its the driver’s responsibility to ensure that his vehicle always contains enough fuel to complete each journey.
Will I have satellite navigation in my car?
Yes, all vehicles are fitted with sat-nav.
What do I need to become a driver?
Before starting work with Skycabs Direct, you will need to provide us with your driving licence,taxi badge no and 2 forms of identification clearly showing your current address.
